3. Basement and loft extensions

Most people consider the kitchen to be the heart of the home, and because of this, a brand new kitchen pays off; An impressive kitchen interior can add 5%-20% to the value of your home depending on where you live, according to Savills. Bespoke kitchens generally last a lifetime, so although you may end up spending more then you originally planned, the investment will not only increase your home’s value, but will also give you decades of pleasure an exceed your expectations each time you enter the kitchen.

 

5. A third bedroom
Figures releases by Nationwide showed that adding a third bedroom could increase your home’s value with 11 percent. It is important to consider the potential market and avoid unnecessary additions.
