Increation’s bespoke approach to interior design and cabinet making has in the past conjured some breathtaking design and build problem solving from our team of master craftsmen but nothing could prepare our London workshops for this latest creation. Measuring nearly three metres in diameter, our athletic client required a sixteen person dining table which could be folded away to allow floor space for his gymnastic tendencies.
With such an ambitious brief, our joiners really excelled themselves. Not only can the resulting twenty-eight square metre tabletop concertina for occasional hibernation, but be configured into a plethora of smaller tables: The under skeleton divides into three adjoining sections to create a coffee table as well as a rectangular banquet top.
The table was finished with a stained cherry veneer, laid clockwise segment by segment to ensure a seamless transition in the grain.
