'A summer of Romance? Haute Couture – Paris Spring/Summer 2011'

We can’t help feeling that valentine’s day spirit after this year’s Paris haute couture week, with Givency, Valentino, Chanel and Elie Saab  all showing Flowing and decedent gowns in  Pale shades , neutrals and delicate florals juxtaposed with some cheeky 50’s pin-up glamour.

Our favourite show came from John Galliano for Christian Dior, inspired by artist René Gruau, the models really could have stepped out of a 1940’s watercolour with voluminous gowns, huge skirts and long trains created from layer upon layer of bubbly, vivacious flowing fabrics. 

Why wait until summer to have a girly tea party with a dress like this…
