Underwood Bathroom: Kate and Shon’s old Mill in fashionable East London
Kate and Shon came to us to create their dream bathroom which they intended to be their ultimate retreat.
Kate wanted a luxurious space, which was a nod to 1930s Hollywood glamour. The carefully planned curved wall in the bathroom, with floor to ceiling incandescent tiles, creates a feeling of complete indulgence for those long soaks in the raised bath which Kate loves, with the room simply radiating opulence.
For Shon we created the perfect walk in shower that has dark tiles and gentle
lighting that allowed him to wake up softly in the mornings. This space was subtle, but still had the same luxurious feel as the bath area. We also designed and built a separate shower room specifically for guests, making their visits as accommodating as possible.
The materials to create these striking designs were a mix of both natural and modern materials sourced from all across Europe. Infrared sensor lighting was used throughout to allow night visits to the bathroom be guided by soft lighting rather than harsh lights that may wake them up a bit too early!
